5 Points Digital
5 Points Digital is a family owned and operated business focusing on providing tools to improve daily lives and finances. The inspiration was born in the early years of Bryan and Patricia Scholl’s marriage and has expanded over the years.
The couple married in 1989 while they were still in college. As a result, they started off married life working full time and carrying full class loads. Even more of a challenge was their personal finances. However, with careful planning, the two still managed to save sometimes 10% of their modest income.
Now fast forward 30 plus years, Bryan and Patricia have navigated a lot of challenges and have learned a lot of lessons along the way. Their hope is to pass along some of these lessons, so you don’t have to learn them the hard way. As a result, 5 Points Digital is designed to provide you with the tools to make managing your finances and lives just a little easier.
Bryan
Bryan Scholl started his career in 1985 working in the family business: Scholl Enterprises, Inc. After earning a degree in Finance from Miami University, he spent two years working in the finance industry. However, he would eventually accept a job as a tax manager for a CPA firm in Cincinnati. There, he handled multi-million dollar accounts and earned his Enrolled Agent license. All while still working part time at Scholl Enterprises, Inc.
In 2000, Bryan returned to the family business full time as a tax professional and to manage five local tax offices in Southwest Ohio. Eventually, he would co-own all five with his brother. In addition to his extensive tax experience, Bryan has earned his insurance license and his series 6 license and learned the intricacies of real estate, giving him a unique perspective on investing and personal finances. He has also specialized in consulting with small businesses and their particular needs.
As a result, Bryan found his passion in helping both individuals and small businesses master all aspects of their finances from taxes, to investing, to budgeting and personal planning.
Pat
After raising their two children and a lengthy teaching career, Patricia joined her husband as a tax professional in 2017. Though it took Bryan 28 years to talk her into it, she found she enjoyed it more than she ever thought possible. (Please don’t tell him that…)
In addition to working as a tax professional, Patricia also now co-owns a business with her son. Her favorite part of the business is her role as head of the engraving department because it feeds her creative soul.
She also is thrilled to join Bryan in this endeavor to help people better manage their lives and finances. Patricia lends her organizational and creative skills honed over years of managing a household, classroom, and now a business of her own.
